Friday Flyers Summer Concert

On Friday 3rd July, we celebrated the end of term with our Friday Flyers Performance at Castle Newnham. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful summer’s evening to close another epic year of Music making at Friday Flyers.

Packed with variety, our programme included an ambitious arrangement of ‘Donna e mobile’ performed by Junior Strings, toe tapping jazz standards by the Jazz Band, ‘Wallace and Gromit’ by Junior Wind, a Queen Medley by the Intermediates. Plus the world premiere of ‘String Quartet’ by local composer, educator and champion of all things Bedford, Michael Rose (age 98) - written especially for Intermediate Strings! Every ensemble performed brilliantly, making it a fantastic evening of music.

Well done to everyone involved! 

Friday Flyers returns on Friday 11th September, with our next end-of-term concert taking place on Friday 4th December.
